Alokabortikaa organized by Surbahaar on August 5 2017
A grand function titled ' Alokabortikaa’ held at B C Pal Auditorium, Chittaranjan Park, New Delhi was organized by Surbahaar, on Aug 5th, 2017 was attended by Dr. C.B. Satpathy as Chief Guest. The function was organized to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sister Nivedita, who was a disciple of Swami Vivekananda and had dedicated her life to serving mankind.
In his address to the audience, Dr. Satpathy stressed upon the traits in human beings like tolerance towards imperfection in others, being happy and spreading happiness and being sensitive to the welfare of not only human beings but also all living beings. Dr. Satpathy stressed on experiencing God here and now by being in service to all living beings including human beings. Dr. Satpathy said that Sister Nivedita lived her life by adopting these traits.
On behalf of Surbahar, Dr. Satpathy was felicitated by Shri Himanshu Das, Chief Information Commissioner of Assam.
The bhajans sung by the singers, Kathak dance by the disciples of Pandit Birju Maharaj and heart touching performance by Sh Satinath Mukherjee enthralled the audience
On the occasion, Dr. Satpathy felicitated Sister Monica, hailing from Missionaries of Charity, Seemapuri, New Delhi and the representatives of the Ram Krishna Mission.
